about 2 weeks or so ago we got a new puppy, Zachary.
It all started when i finally put my foot down and told jon we were getting another dog. So i was searching pet finder and called a few different animal shelters and all the dogs that were still listed were actually already adopted out. So after getting pretty frusterated i decided to just go to Fetch at the Dayton mall and buy me a puppy. I had already had in my head that i wanted a small lap dog that can cuddle me when i feel lonely, so i picked out a Chihuahua Pomeranian Mix aka ChiAPom. He is way too freakin cute and pretty good for being a puppy!
Well a couple days after we got him, we had left him outside for a little too long and he got heat stroke. We had to take him to the late nite animal clinic and get him all checked out. $250
later we were able to take him home [even though they wanted to keep him over nite..yeah right!] well the next day i had to take him to a local vet for a check up, well they still had to run test and blah blah..well that was another $180ish [they wanted to keep him over nite instead, but i opted to just take home medicine for him].
Well 2 weeks later he is 100% better, with a small cough, buts its going away. Hes back to chewing on EVERYTHING and when he wiggles his way into the toy room or antionettes room he is in chew toy heaven, and the girls not so happy. We still find a few doggy messes around the house every now and then, but hes getting so much better.
Jon loves him, and even lets him sleep in the bed under the covers with us. He said he would rather not have a dog, but likes the fact that he is small and doesnt shed [we he doesnt know wont kill him ;) ]
